Instead, the earwax builds up around the device itself and in the tubing. This quickly stops the device from working properly. Damaged mold

It is possible that the mold of the hearing aid has been damaged. This is the part that fits inside your ear. It can be damaged simply by not keeping it in the case when not in use or due to typical wear and tear. However, the issue can be fixed by simply replacing the mold with a new piece. Your audiologist can easily complete this type of repair by taking impressions and creating a new mold.

Moisture damage

Hearing aids are not designed to be worn in the water, including the shower or heavy rainfall. Moisture can damage the electrical components in your device and can lead to extensive repairs. Remember to remove your hearing aids when surrounded by water and always place in proper storage.
